HEALTH BENEFITS OF EGG

1) EGG HELP INCREASE GOOD CHOLESTEROL (HDL):

HDL stands for high-density lipoprotein. It is often known as the “good cholesterol".

Now let's clear off the controversy about eggs having cholesterol and it raising the body Cholesterol; Do egg have high cholesterol? Yes! Nonetheless, it’s the good cholesterol (HDL) that it raises. Eggs don’t raise cholesterol in the blood of most people, it is saturated fats from the processed foods and so does much red meat too. It is the cholesterol in the blood that is harmful.

The recommended amount of cholesterol to be consumed per day is 300mg and a single egg contains 212mg of cholesterol.

NOTE: The liver is responsible for producing cholesterol every day, but when you eat more eggs, the liver then produces less cholesterol.

Eating egg is a great way to increase HDL and according to a survey done by the National Institute of Health, people who have higher levels of HDL usually have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke and other health problem. So Having egg as a part of your meal isn't a waste because eating it leads to elevated levels of HDL (i.e the good cholesterol), which is linked to a lower risk of many diseases.

2) EGG HELPS IN WEIGHT LOSE:

Wondering how on earth this is possible with egg, right?

Egg is a good source for Weight Lose. Not everyone knows about this and one challenge when trying to lose WEIGHT is trying to satisfy your hunger or having cravings for food rich in calories and the best way to tackle this challenge is by eating high-protein foods and egg is the number one source because it can keep you fuller for longer period. Having eggs for your breakfast will help suppresses the hunger hormone, thereby leaving you more satisfied throughout the day. Eating eggs causes stable blood glucose and insulin response as well.

3) CAN LOWER THE RISK OF BREAST CANCER:

Eggs when consumed in adolescence can reduce their risk of breast cancer according to a research study at Harvard University, where it was cited that eggs can lower the risk of breast cancer. However, a later study showed that women consuming at least six eggs every week had a 44% reduction in the risk of breast cancer than women who ate fewer eggs. The choline in eggs serves as a protection against breast cancer. Wow, isn't this amazing!  Teenage girls needs egg and they should not be denied of it.

6) EGGS ARE GOOD FOR YOUR BRAIN HEALTH:

Choline is very essential to the brain, it helps to regulate memory and mood. Studies have proven that it helps cognitive function like visual and verbal memory. Amazingly, an egg contains 125.5 milligrams of choline. The membranes that surround your cells are formed with the aid of choline. During pregnancy and as well when breastfeeding, choline is essential for the baby’s brain development, too. As a pregnant mother don't fail to at least an egg a day.
