Q.8 : I Get Seriously Emotional Before My Period Begins, Is It Normal?

Ans: (Smiles) It's very possible but this must be placed into caution so you don't end up running your relationship with people you love.

Here is what happens why the emotional stuff gets in you: The period after ovulation and before menstruation is a phase called Luteal Phase and during this phase, the body is getting ready for pregnancy in case fertilization takes place. The main hormone during the luteal phase is Progesterone and it happens that there are series of fluctuation in the hormones, which will then lead to:

— Anxiety

— Mood Fluctuations

— Headache

— Weight Gain

— Increased Hunger

The above are the common Premenstrual Symptoms. Cyclic changes in progesterone and estrogen, excess prostaglandins, and fluctuations in serotonin levels are all responsible for premenstrual symptoms.

And lastly here is one question lots of ladies ask beneath their breath: Why Is My Period Blood Black On The First Day?

Ans:Dear Queens, It is absolutely normal for period blood to be black or dark brown at the very beginning or at the end of a period. At the beginning and end of menstruation, the flow is usually slow, and blood on the pad or tampon is old blood that has been exposed to oxygen.

Blood contains iron, which becomes black after oxidation (exposed to air). Menstrual discharge consists mostly of parts of the inner lining of the uterus — the inner lining of the uterine wall — and blood. It moves from the uterus to the vagina, where it is oxidized.

However, if menstrual blood is black throughout the whole period, it could indicate a problem. Be sure to contact a health care provider in this case.

Don't forget, consistent irregular cycle and menstruation could lead to INFERTILITY. BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT YOUR HEALTH DEAR QUEENS.

Now you've gotten clarity, stay clam, free from fear. Most importantly,do what's necessary if you have to see your doctor please do so and don't postpone it for anything.

PS: Share this piece of wisdom and gift of clarity with others and don't fail to educate other young girls who are coming close to their cycle.
