RELIABLE AND EVIDENTIAL TREATMENTS TO STOP IRREGULAR MENSTRUAL CYCLE

Have you been struggling with irregular menstrual cycle?

Do you feel worried knowing that you aren't a teen girl who for the first two years will have an irregular cycle, neither are you approaching menopause but this irregular cycle is gradually persisting?

Some ladies have bought the myth that if they keep having an irregular menstrual cycle then that's just normal with their body they will just wait for nature to take it's cause without even understanding what could be the cause of it. Most ladies see it shameful to speak about what their cycle really looks like because of the persistent irregularities. It isn't funny when a lady will be asked about her cycle and then she will say "I don't really know what my cycle looks like on a normal because it keeps fluctuating during the month of April it was 28days, May it was 24days, June 30days, July 21days and then August it was 24days". I know for sure no lady loves such because no one would want to see a red stain on their very beautiful dress after stepping out for the day's activities, only to discover you just started your period.

When a lady is diagnosed of having PCOS that is a cyst in the ovaries then an irregular cycle can occur, Irregular menstrual cycle could be a sign that you are not ovulating and this could lead to infertility(inability to bear a child). NO ONE WANTS TO KEEP HAVING IRREGULAR MENSES THAT WILL LEAD TO INFERTILITY AND NO ONE WANTS TO BE MUTE WHEN ASKED ABOUT THEIR MENSTRUAL CYCLE.

So, dear beautiful ladies after this blog post you will not feel left out because I will state clearly some reliable treatment methods that will help regulate the irregular menstrual cycle.

WHAT TREATMENT METHOD IS RELIABLE TO REGULATE YOUR IRREGULAR MENSTRUAL CYCLE?

1) Hormonal Therapy: If the trigger of your irregular cycle is due to an imbalanced hormone(insufficient estrogen and progesterone) then on visiting the doctor, some birth control pills that contain the hormones estrogen and progesterone can help raise hormonal levels, which can counteract the effects of not ovulating, and this can also make bleeding regular and reduce the symptoms of conditions such as PCOS.

2) STRESS MANAGEMENT THERAPY:

Stress has a great potency to affect the part of the brain responsible for producing vital hormones in the body, it can throw hormonal levels out of whack, which can lead to changes in the frequency and duration of your menstrual period.  The stress management therapy treatment is very important. If you come to find out that your irregular periods for one or two months are related to stress, anxiety, depression, or an eating disorder, then a doctor may recommend psychological support. This may includes:

-Taking a break from atmosphere that stresses you

-Engage in activities that will boost your peace.

-Practice Yoga and meditation.

-Eat Healthy Foods, also top up your intake of vitamin D, B and calcium

3) Surgery: This is not necessary for everyone but only for people who have excess endometrial tissue growing in the pelvis or abdomen. A hysterectomy might be required as a last resort if the uterus has been  severely damaged.

4) Additional medications can be taken but this also depends on the underlying cause of the irregular menstrual cycle. For example, a doctor may prescribe metformin for people with PCOS. This is an insulin-lowering oral drug for type 2 diabetes, which can help ensure ovulation and regular periods.

You need to know that treatment depends firstly on finding out what causes your irregular periods, after then the exact treatment method will commence based on the cause.

That's why it's very essential to visit your medical doctors, so that they will be able to make a proper diagnosis on the underlying cause.

DON'T SELF MEDICATE, ENSURE YOU GET A PROPER DIAGNOSIS FOR THE EXACT CAUSE TO BE KNOWN.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR DOCTOR

Here are things you will hear from your doctor on your appointment so it doesn't seem strange to you.

On visiting, your doctor will ask you about your menstrual cycle (don't feel shy  tell them that it has been irregular of late but if you can remember the previous ones that were regular then speak out too).  The doctor will perform a physical examination(pelvic exam). The pelvic exam allows your doctor to assess your reproductive organs and to determine if your vagina or cervix is inflamed. The doctor might also send you for certain tests such as:

-Blood tests to rule out anemia or other medical disorders.

-Vaginal culture, to look for infections.

-A pelvic ultrasound exam to check for uterine fibroids, polyps or an ovarian cyst.

-An endometrial biopsy, in which a sample of tissue is removed from the lining of the uterus, to diagnose endometriosis, hormonal imbalance, or cancerous cells.  He makes a tiny incision in the abdomen and then inserts a thin tube with a light attached to view the uterus and ovaries.

In conclusion, irregular menstrual cycle can be regulated back to normal just ensure to follow properly the treatment methods provided by your doctor.
