EVER WONDERED WHY WOMEN ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO UTI?-
" I Sincerely Celebrate Every Woman Around The World We Are Super Unique And Our Body Status Is Perfect, Regardless Anything We Are Wonderfully Made.☺️"
A lot of individuals ask:
WHY ARE WOMEN SUSCEPTIBLE (VULNERABLE) TO UTI, I'll be answering this question by stating out clearly, two basic reasons.
TWO REASONS WHY WOMEN ARE PRONE/SUSCEPTIBLE TO UTI
(1) DUE TO THE FEMALE ANATOMY:
The urethra in women is much shorter in length than in men. The average female urethra is 1-2 inches long compared to the male urethra which is 6 inches long. This is important when it comes to bacteria. Bacteria is seeded (or planted) at the urethra meatus (the opening of the urethra where urine comes out), which means it has a shorter distance to climb to infect the bladder in females than in males causing them to contract UTI more rapidly.
In addition, the external urethral meatus in women is mostly mucosa, moist tissue lining the inside of the vagina. This skin is thinner and more sensitive than most of the skin on the body, unlike in the male counterpart. As a result, the female urethra is easier to traumatize and irritate. The irritated skin creates an environment for bacteria to potentially live and grow before climbing the short distance up the urethra to the bladder.
(2) MENOPAUSE:
However, you shouldn't feel uncomfortable approaching menopause, not at all. With the proper guide, tips and hygiene practice, you will be able to scale through it without experiencing it so frequently. The good news is that once it is observed and a proper intervention is put in place by the right medical professionals, it can be treated 100%.
Please I'd recommend you visit last weeks post to recap the causes of UTI🙏.
