WHY YOUR VAGINAL INFECTION KEEPS RETURNING!

Have you been treated for vaginal Infections before, only for you to realize that the infection you treated came back again in a space of weeks? I know no lady is happy when she keeps treating for recurring vaginal Infections, but then you must have it treated. However, in this blog, I will be showing you three key reasons why your vaginal infections keep returning even after treatment and this knowledge will help you stay safe from further harm. Let's explore the three(3) reasons below!

 1). Having The Wrong Treatment/Medication

The very First Reason your vaginal Infection returned is that you have been on the wrong medications. When you notice any sign, you would also need a proper diagnosis for the exact infection you are having. Do not self-medicate. Getting an antibiotic isn't the cure for all vaginal Infections, not every itching is a result of Bacteria, and not every Infection is treated with antibiotics. Aside from bacteria, most vaginal Infections could be a result of certain viruses and fungi; if you go ahead treating yourself with antibiotics without being diagnosed, you might end up harming your health and if you should continue doing this, you will develop "Antibiotics Resistance". Remember that the vagina contains healthy bacteria that help fight against harmful invading bacteria: if you take the wrong medication, it might go ahead to kill this helpful bacteria in your vagina or it would alter your vagina pH causing the infection to return. I recommend that you visit a doctor when you notice any vaginal disorder like itching, discharge, or foul smell to get a proper diagnosis and medication plan.

2). Skipping And Not completing Your Medication

As you know most treatments for vaginal Infection do last for 1 or 2 weeks and while you commence the treatment, you certainly would notice an improvement, the next thing that might run through your mind is that have to stop taking the drugs. Please, you have to complete your treatment regimen without any excuse. If you are a busy person then kindly set a reminder on your phone, you get an accountability partner who will always remind you not to skip your medication.

Note: Skipping your medication causes a RELAPSE even though you got the best drug prescription from a gynecologist.

3). Exposing Yourself To What Caused The Infection Earlier

Certainly, when you expose yourself to any risk factors such as douching, poor vaginal hygiene, or unprotected sex with an infected partner, the infection would return, in order words you are reinfecting yourself by getting in contact with what caused the Infection before. Most vaginal Infections are usually sexually transmitted, though some are not. For sexually active ladies, you would notice that after you were treated, the Infection came back a few days after you had sex with your partner. On this note, I advise you and your partner to get treated.

IN CONCLUSION: Please ladies, ensure you get the right test examination and get a proper drug prescription. Afterward, don't skip your treatment, and do ensure you avoid reinfecting yourself.
